Mission and Vision
Our mission is to help landowners and government officials, developers, co and land owners make better decisions about future land use through hard science, innovative modeling of development scenarios, meaningful public participation, effective planning and visioning, and cutting edge solutions. The goal is to guide decision makers through a discovery process that profiles the landscape in several dimensions, develops consensus, articulates a vision, and provides the tools to achieve that vision.
We provide broad range of knowledge and expertise from environmental planners and scientists to provide complete natural resource management solutions. In addressing environmental issues, we bring greater detail on watershed and stream corridor attributes, wetlands systems, soil characteristics, forested areas, unaltered natural areas, stream channels needing restoration, sizable areas of impervious surfaces, poor land use practices, and other features.
Our approach to watershed planning begins with a review of all available data to determine key issues. We characterize conditions and model these data to analyze potential issues and remedies. We can assess the existing natural resources and characteristics in terms of public health and safety issues, costs of environmental degradation, quality of life issues, and ecological health and integrity. With extensive experience in environmental consulting, urban planning, sustainable agriculture, and cultural heritage, transforming complex environmental problems into sustainable solutions, always with a focus on economic development, equity, and collaboration.
